Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
