The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). 1 But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic." 2 And deny, and follow their own vain desires; but every matter is determined at its time. 3 And certainly some narratives have come to them wherein is prevention-- 4 Mature wisdom;- but (the preaching of) Warners profits them not. 5 Therefore turn away from them; on the day when the announcer will call towards a severe unknown matter – 6 with downcast eyes they shall come out of their graves, as if they were locusts milling about 7 Hastening toward the summoner. The infidels will say: this is a day diffrcult. 8 ۞ Before them Noah's people also gave the lie (to his Message). They rejected Our servant as a liar, saying: “He is a madman”; and he was rebuffed. 9 so he cried out to his Lord, saying, "I am overcome, so help me!" 10 We opened the Gates of Heaven with torrential water 11 And We made water to flow forth in the land in springs, so the water gathered together according to a measure already ordained. 12 And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails, 13 Sailing in front of Our sight; as a reward for the sake of one who was rejected. 14 And verily We left it as a token; but is there any that remembereth? 15 How terrible was My torment and the result of (their disregard) of My warning. 16 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 17 The 'Ad had also disavowed. How was then My punishment and My commination! 18 Behold, We let loose upon them a raging storm wind on a day of bitter misfortune: 19 Tearing men away as if they were the trunks of palm-trees torn up. 20 Yea, how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning! 21 We have made it easy to learn lessons from the Quran: is there anyone who would receive admonition? 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
