▼ 54 The Moon

And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
