The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn, 2 And your Lord glorify 3 And keep your clothes clean. 4 and flee from the statues! 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allah)! 7 So when the Trumpet will be blown. 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Leave him to Me, the one whom I created single. 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And children to be by his side! 13 and to whose life I gave so wide a scope: 14 then he is eager that I should do more. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 On him I shall impose a fearful doom. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 and woe to him; how he plotted! 19 Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!- 20 Then he thought; 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 And said: This is naught else than magic from of old; 24 This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 Soon I will cast him into hell. 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It does not allow anyone to live, and neither does it leave anyone to die; 28 Burning the skins! 29 Over it are nineteen. 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
