The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
