Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
