Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
