(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
