The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 it is no merriment. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
