Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
