1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
