And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
