Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
So I swear by whatsoever you see, 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 not the speech of a poet. Little do you believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer. Little is it that you reflect! 42 A sending down from the Lord of all Being. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 Then cut off his aorta, 46 And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him. 47 The Quran is certainly a reminder for the pious ones. 48 We certainly know that some among you will give the lie to it, 49 Indeed, it is a sorrow to the unbelievers 50 And Verily, it (this Quran) is an absolute truth with certainty. 51 (Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
