Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
