Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In an elevated garden, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 cushions ranged, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 So do they not see the camel how it has been created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
