Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
