The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The piercing star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
