Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 We have laid out gardens of dates and grapes upon it, and made springs of water flow, 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof; and their hands worked it not. Will they not, therefore, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk. 39 [and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws]. 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride. 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 And not a sign cometh unto them of the signs of their Lord, but they are ever backsliders therefrom. 46 And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people! 50

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
