Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
