Nay, and by the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
