Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
