The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
