Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water). 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 no fatigue there shall smite them, neither shall they ever be driven forth from there. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. 50 And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). 51 When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. 52 They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. 53 He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? 54 They answered: "We have given thee the glad tiding of something that is bound to come true. So be not of those who abandon hope!" 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?" 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - 59 Except his wife; We ordained that she shall surely be of those who remain behind. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
