HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
