The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
