Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
