The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night swarming, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
