The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 8 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
