Alshu'araa' 2 of 11
When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
