Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 we are the rangers, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
