And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
