Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
