Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, 85 And We will drive the guilty to hell thirsty 86 no one will be able to intercede for the others except those whom the Beneficent God has given authority. 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 Surely you have made a monstrous statement. 89 Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins, 90 to ascribe a son to the Beneficent God. 91 It does not become the majesty of the Compassionate God to take to Himself a son: 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. 93 Certainly He has a comprehensive knowledge of them and He has numbered them a (comprehensive) numbering. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 So have We made the (Qur'an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention. 97 But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? 98
