Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Lo! in the heavens and the earth are portents for believers. 3 and in your creation, and the crawling things He scatters abroad, there are signs for a people having sure faith, 4 and in the alternation of night and day, and the provision God sends down from heaven, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead, and the turning about of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 9 Hell is awaiting them and none of their deeds will be of any benefit to them, nor will any guardian whom they have chosen besides God. They will suffer a great torment. 10 This is guidance. And those who disbelieve the revelations of their Lord, for them there is a painful doom of wrath. 11
