The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
