The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
