T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
