Do they whose minds are filled with doubt, think that God will not expose their malice? 29 Now had We so willed, We could have shown them clearly to you, and then you could have identified them by their marks, but surely you will know them by the tone of their speech! God knows all that you do. 30 We shall certainly test you until We know those who strive hard for the cause of God and those who exercise patience. We will also examine your deeds. 31 Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds. 32 O People who Believe! Obey Allah and obey the Noble Messenger, and do not render your deeds void. 33 ۞ Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and then died while they were disbelievers - never will Allah forgive them. 34 Therefore do not relax, nor call towards truce by yourself; and it is you who will dominate; and Allah is with you, and He will never cause a loss in your deeds. 35 [This] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. And if you believe and fear Allah, He will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties. 36 If He were to ask you for all of them, and press you, ye would covetously withhold, and He would bring out all your ill-feeling. 37 Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes. 38
