Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
