Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
