So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
