When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
