Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
