And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire. 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 This is a blessed Book which We sent down to you [Muhammad], for people to ponder over its messages, and for those with understanding to take heed. 29 We gave Solomon to David; and he was an excellent worshiper, he was penitent. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 he said, 'Lo, I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord, until the sun was bidden behind the veil. 32 Then he said "Bring them (horses) back to me." Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks (till the end of the display). 33 Certainly We tried Solomon, and We cast upon his throne a mere body; then he repented. 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 So we subjugated the wind to his service which carried his merchandise wheresoever he wished; 36 as well as all the rebellious forces [that We made to work for him] - every kind of builder and diver 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 “This is Our bestowal – you may therefore bestow favours or withhold them – you will not be questioned.” 39 And most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort. 40
