Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
