The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
