Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
