Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
