Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning hours 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
