This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
